Project 10

This residential project in Dubai uses the natural elements to highlight the interiors of the home. The courtyard, where the pool sits, becomes the focal point of view, with floor to ceiling windows used in every room ringing the space. The stained glass panels that are installed in one of the sitting rooms overlooking the courtyard, are by Guido Polloni from 1973 and were acquired from Galerie Yves Gastou. The abundance of sunshine that comes to this home, played directly into this particular choice of decoration, likewise the polished white cement and white Stoleru sofa by Martin Szekely and Mew Table by Zaha Hadid, reflect the light and respect the sweeping open space. A red Balloon Venus by Jeff Koons offers a tiny spark of color in the center of the room. In the dining room, a ten person bespoke glass table, with a stepping stone like lighting sculpture which sits above it, were both created bespoke by Gatserelia. Artworks by Umberto Mariani and Robert Longo adorn the travertine columns. Per the client’s request, an in-home theater, with a cocoon vibe is also featured in the property.
